75th Anniversary & 63rd Biennial National Convention
October 19-23, 2005
The
National Convention of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. shall convene
biennially. Voting delegates to the convention shall elect the officers of the
NPHC and deliberate on/perform other such matters and activities as may be referred
to it by reference from a previous National Convention, the Council of Presidents,
the Executive Board of Directors, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, other
Standing Committees, regions, local councils and delegates.
Registration
Schedule: All fees, council, and individual registration forms may be processed
online by October 6, 2005 or sent via U. S. Mail to NPHC Headquarters, c/o 63rd
Convention Registration, Eigenmann Center 635, 1900 E. 10th Street, Bloomington
IN 47406. Late and Onsite registrants cannot be guaranteed convention materials
and amenities.

A portion of the registration fees paid in advance is refundable upon receipt
of written notification to NPHC National Headquarters and approval. The request
should be in the form of a letter or electronic message stating the reason for
cancellation with verification signatures of the council president and advisor
(if applicable). All contact information of the petitioner and advisor (if applicable)
should be included.
Requests
postmarked on or before September 23 will be refunded less a 50% cancellation
fee, and after at 75%. Requests postmarked after October 6 will not be honored.
Tickets for subscription events are not refundable. Checks will be issued for
refunds approximately 120 days after the Convention.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of nine (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Phi Psi Fraternity, Inc. NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.
On May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University, in Washington DC, the National Pan-Hellenic Council was formed as a permanent organization with the following charter members: Omega Psi Phi and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternities, and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta and Zeta Phi Beta Sororities. In 1931, Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternities joined the Council. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority joined in 1937 and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity completed the list of member organizations in 1996. The stated purpose and mission of the organization in 1930 was “Unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” Early in 1937, the organization was incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois and became known as the “National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated.”
